Fuel Puzzle Redesign

Date 2019
Technologies Arduino, Javascript, PIXI.JS

The Escape Game asked me to redesign a failure-prone, high-maintenance component: a fuel distribution puzzle in their flagship Spec Ops game. The original required hand-soldering 400 LEDs, run through a fragile Arduino setup. With a planned expansion to dozens of new stores, they needed something more reliable and easier to ship.

I rebuilt it as an HTML5/PIXI app running on a Raspberry Pi, keeping the original hardware knob controls wired in through Arduino serial. Our scenic team recreated the rugged industrial look of the original puzzle.

The new version cut assembly time from 8 hours to 1, improved reliability, and let me add dynamic difficulty adjustment and in-game hints, giving game guides more flexibility in how they ran the room.

Kinetic Spy Interface

Date 2019
Technologies Unity 3D, TCP/PLC

I built stylized spy OS interface in Unity, for TEG’s competitive White Noise game room. The interface communicated with physical game room elements via TCP/PLC integration. The application delivered narrative progression and clue elements through an interactive pseudo-OS interface.
