An aerial lyra performance where the dancer's movement drives the projection mapped visuals in real time, within an immersive, 360° projection-mapped studio.

Domino is Aerial lyra performance staged in the B2 Blackbox Studio at CU Boulder, set to Magdalena Bay’s titular song.

I worked with a lyra artist who created the aerial choreography. Taking inspiration from the track’s synthwave/vaporwave vibes, I built the environments in Blender, and then choreographed the primary animations and scene transitions using Unity’s Timeline tool.

During the live performance, the lyra hoop was tracked in real time via the B2 studios Qualisys motion capture cameras: hoop rotation and velocity drove particle systems, shader effects, and environmental transformations across the projection-mapped space.
